Celebrate the arrival of the Chinese New Year with a spring reunion at Pullman Kuala Lumpur Hotel & Residences’ Cantonese restaurant, Tai Zi Heen from 18 January to 22 February. Whilst preserving the Chinese tradition of the ‘reunion dinner’, the festive menu at Tai Zi Heen this year is specially crafted with a view to create a harmonious blend of signature Cantonese festive dishes.
Ushering in the year of the Monkey, Tai Zi Heen offers three selections of a 9-course festive set menu packed with must have Chinese New Year dishes which will create a perfect reunion celebration. The festive set menus start from RM1788 per table, with portions for 8 to 10 persons. Each set menu includes a choice of Yee Sang, followed by vegetables, soup, poultry, seafood and ends with the resident chef’s special dessert. For families or guests who wish to dine in smaller groups, they can opt for the a la carte menu which features the chef’s recommended dishes.
This year, Tai Zi Heen introduces its new Crispy Whitebait Yee Sang, where the whitebait is fried to a crisp and golden brown in colour, paired with a variety of condiments and signature sauce which offers refreshing and crunchy bites after the toss. Other choices of Tai Zi Heen’s Yee Sang are Vegetarian, Salmon, Hamachi, Abalone and Four Seasons Prosperity Yee Sang (a combination of butterfish, salmon, tuna and jellyfish). Enjoy supplemental orders of your favourite ingredients for a more auspicious toss. Take away options for all Yee Sang are also available.
Chinese Head Chef at Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Chef Micheal Wong commented that the team are constantly being innovative and creative, to provide new ideas which will enhance the taste, smell, and visuals of the traditional cuisine, to highlight the best aspects of the dining experience at Tai Zi Heen. He highlighted some must try dishes: Hong Kong-syled Steam Grouper with Spring Onions, Coriander and Superior Sauce - the fish is sliced and presented mirroring the shape of a dragon; Steamed Jumbo Tiger Prawns with Pumpkin Sauce and Black Glutinous Rice - prawn heads and shells removed and allowed to sit in golden yellow sauce; Deep-fried Sesame Balls with Salted Egg Yolk Custard and Sweet Potato - experience the sweet and salty egg yolk custard melt in your mouth with your first bite.
